Ingredients To Gather
You only need a few basic ingredients for this easy recipe!

Lean ground beef. You will need one pound of ground beef. I use 93/7 so this recipe is not too fatty.
Olive oil. To sauté the veggies. Avocado oil will also work.
Hearty vegetables. Celery, onions, bell pepper, garlic cloves, and two potatoes. I recommend using Russet potatoes.
Seasoning. Italian seasoning and salt and pepper.
Tomato. You'll need tomato paste and diced tomatoes. If you don't have diced tomatoes you can use one small can of tomato sauce instead.
Beef broth. Beef broth or chicken broth can be used instead.

Let's Make Hamburger Soup in the Instant Pot!
Step 1: Turn on the saute function of the Instant Pot. Add the olive oil, chopped onions, chopped celery, chopped bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté for 5 minutes until the vegetables are soft. Add the Italian seasoning and tomato paste, and stir the ingredients together.
Step 2: Add the ground beef, and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring constantly until it starts to brown.

Step 3: Top the beef with the chopped potatoes. Add the remaining ingredients, and cancel the sauté function. Close the lid of the Instant Pot, and make sure the lid is set to the sealing position.

Step 4: Cook on high pressure, and set the cook time to 10 minutes. After the 10-minute cooking time, quick release the pressure. Carefully open the lid, and serve immediately with shredded cheddar cheese.
