Full of feta and spinach, these Chicken Burgers with Feta and Spinach are ready in under 30 minutes and are a perfect addition to your next barbecue! If you are looking for a change from the traditional burger, look no further!

What's in These Burgers?
The ingredients could not be simpler for these burgers. All you need are five ingredients you probably already have on hand!

Ground Chicken- This recipe uses one pound of ground chicken, making 4 burgers. You could easily double or triple this recipe if necessary. Make sure that your ground chicken has a little bit of fat in it. Try to stay away from ground chicken breast that is 99% fat free as that would be too lean.
Feta- I did not add any salt to this recipe, because feta tends to be very salty. Use full fat feta instead of low fat or fat free. You will want the extra fat in the cheese and also the extra salt. If you buy a block of feta, crumble it to the size of peas. Otherwise, you could buy the pre-crumbled feta.
Spinach- Fresh spinach works well in this recipe, but if you had frozen you could use that as well. You'll want to chop the spinach into small pieces. I would use half the amount of frozen spinach than fresh spinach because frozen spinach has already been wilted.
How to Make These Burgers
Time needed: 15 minutes.
Let's Make These Burgers!
- Add the ingredients to a bowl
First, you'll need to mix everything together. Grab a medium bowl and place the ground chicken into the bowl. Top with the feta, spinach, and seasonings.
- Mix everything together
It's time to get messy! Hands are the best tools for this portion, but if you wanted to use a large wooden spoon you could do that as well. Don't overmix, just mix until all the ingredients are completely combined.
- Make the patties
I learned from Rachael Ray that the easiest way to make sure you have even burgers is to score the meat in a bowl. Meaning, if you want four burgers, use your hands to make a line down the middle of the bowl, and then across. You should have four sections of burgers now. Make each into a patty and place it on a large plate.
- Grill 'em up!
You can grill these, or you can cook them on a cast iron skillet on the stovetop. Either would work great. Since it is almost the Summer here, I chose to grill them. Place them on a grill and let them cook about 6-8 minutes on each side. The internal temperature of chicken should be 165 degrees in order to be safe to eat it. Serve these burgers with delicious air fryer zucchini fries!
Questions about these Burgers
If you don't want to use chicken, feel free to use turkey or even beef. Try to keep the fat in beef to no more than 85/15. You could even use salmon meat and make a salmon burger with this technique.
This Chicken and Bacon Caesar Pasta Salad would be a delicious side dish with these burgers. Serve them on a bulky roll topped with your favorite burger toppings. This would also be a delicious burger to top a salad with, if you wanted to make this more low carb.
You can put everything together ahead of time and make the patties, store them in the refrigerator. Then, when you are ready to eat, grill them up and enjoy! Don't grill them before you need them, they are best straight off the grill.
Definitely! White cheddar would be amazing, as would swiss or American cheese. Try to keep them about the same size as crumbled feta would be, about the size of a peanut or a pea.
