- 2 lb Italian Sausages Cut in half
- 2 lb Potatoes 2 large potatoes, cut into chunks
- 1 Sweet Onion Sliced
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- 1 can Tomato Sauce 8 ounces, 1 cup
- Salt and Pepper To Taste
Add the olive oil to the Instant Pot and set the Instant Pot to Saute. Add the sausages and brown for 4-5 minutes. While the sausage cooks, slice the onions and cut the potatoes into large chunks.
Cancel the saute function and add the remaining ingredients.
Close the lid of the Instant Pot and set the cooking time to 8 minutes on high pressure. Let the Instant Pot natural release for 10 minutes. Quick release the remaining pressure.
- Serve this dish with your favorite green salad, over pasta, in a crusty hoagie roll, or over rice.
- Change the type of sausage! Use chicken sausage, your favorite smoked sausage, kielbasa sausage, turkey sausage, or even breakfast sausage!
- For the liquid, use a cup of water, chicken broth, chicken stock, or beef broth.
- Change the potatoes! Use Russet potatoes, Yukon gold potatoes, red potatoes, or even sweet potatoes!
- Add more veggies! Feel free to add red bell peppers, fresh green beans, zucchini, or mushrooms to the Instant Pot when you add the sweet onion.
