Ingredients

  • 1 Bag Semisweet Chocolate Chips 12 Ounces
  • 1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk 14 Ounces
  • 1 ½ cups Marshmallow Bits

Instructions

  • Create a double boiler by adding an inch of water to a saucepan and topping the pan with a large melt bowl. Make sure the water does not touch the bottom of the pan.
  • Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper. Set that aside.
  • Over medium heat, melt the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk, stirring constantly.
  • When the fudge melts completely, carefully pour it into the prepared baking dish. Top it with the marshmallow bits. Press the bits into the fudge a little to make sure they stick.
  • Place the fudge in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to harden the fudge. You can also leave it at room temperature for at least 4 hours until hardened. When the fudge hardens, cut it into small pieces and enjoy.

Notes

  • Keep the hardened hot cocoa fudge in an airtight container on the counter. Try to eat it within 3 or 4 days so it does not go stale.
  • This hot cocoa fudge is also a great recipe to freeze! You can freeze it up to 3 months before you need it. When you want to defrost it, take it out of the freezer and keep it on the counter until it defrosts.
  • To make this in the microwave, add the sweetened condensed milk and the chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 1 minute increments. Stir in between each increment and then pour it into the prepared baking dish.
  • You can use milk chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, or even white chocolate chips in this recipe.
