- 1 ¾ cup All Purpose Flour
- ½ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
- 3 Bananas Brown and Spotty
- ½ cup Brown Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- ½ cup Butter Melted
- 1 tablespoon Coffee Cooled
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips Semisweet
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Butter an 8 inch loaf pan and set it aside.
Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda together in a medium bowl. Set that aside.
Mash the bananas well in a large bowl. Add the eggs, melted butter, brown sugar, and coffee. Mix well until fully combined.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Mix in the chocolate chips. Don’t overmix, it’s ok if there are a few lumps.
Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick is inserted and comes out clean. Cool before serving.
- The coffee brings out the flavor of the chocolate. If you do not have coffee, you can omit the ingredient or add vanilla extract instead.
- If the bread starts browning too quickly in the oven, tent a piece of aluminum foil over the bread to prevent it from browning too quickly.
- Grease the loaf pan well. This batter will tend to stick if not greased properly.
