Ingredients

  • 6 slices Bacon ½ pound
  • 1 lb Brussel Sprouts Cleaned and Halved
  • ½ cup Parmesan Shredded
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • Salt and Pepper To Taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
  • Wash and trim the Brussel sprouts. Set them aside in a medium bowl.
  • Cook the bacon slices for 5-7 minutes in a saute pan until crispy. Take the bacon out and place the slices on a paper towel lined plate. When the bacon is cooled, crumble the bacon into pieces.
  • Pour the bacon grease over the Brussel sprouts. Top with the minced garlic and mix together.
  • Place the Brussel sprouts on the baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes, turning halfway through the baking process.
  • When the Brussel sprouts are browned, carefully place them in a bowl and top with the crispy bacon and parmesan cheese. Stir to combine and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use your favorite type of bacon.  Thick sliced, hickory smoked, maple baked, and apple smoked are some favorites.
  • Shredded parmesan gives this dish a cheesy kick.  If you cannot find shredded, grated parmesan cheese works as well.
