Ingredients

  • 2 cans Chick Peas 15 ounces
  • ½ cup Tahini
  • 1 Lemon Juiced
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

Instructions

  • Drain the liquid from the chick peas and add the drained chick peas to the food processor.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients. Close the food processor and turn it on. Combine the ingredients until the hummus has reached the consistency you like. For a smoother hummus, give the food processor a little extra time. Taste the hummus and season with more salt and pepper if needed.
  • Use a rubber spatula to remove the hummus from the food processor and chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

Notes

  • If you find that once the hummus is pureed, it is not spicy enough to your liking, feel free to add more sriracha or crushed red pepper flakes!
  • Keep the hummus in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Serve this hummus with fresh veggies, warm pita bread, or pita chips.
