These sourdough dinner rolls have no yeast, a perfect crust, a chewy crumb, and are so easy to make!

Let’s get started!

Pile these rolls high in a bread basket and slather them with the best butter you can find! The best part is you don't have to knead them!

Mix the milk and starter with water

01

Mix the wet ingredients together first to make sure the starter is evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Add the dry ingredients

02

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well until you have a shaggy dough.  Let it rest for 45 minutes.

Time to Bulk Rise!

03

Allow the dough to rise for 8-10 hours until it doubles in size and is bubbly.  Leave the bowl at room temperature to rise and cover with a damp towel.

Cut the dough

04

After the dough has risen, cut it into 12 equal pieces and shape them into rolls.  Place the dough on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Rise one more time!

05

Allow the rolls to rise one more time for an hour on the baking sheet.  When ready, the dough will look visibly puffy.

Score the Rolls

06

Score the rolls with a sharp knife to allow the rolls to expand while baking.  Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
