How To Make Sourdough Breadcrumbs

A great way to use up that leftover sourdough bread, these Sourdough Breadcrumbs are easy to make and full of flavor! Don't waste your excess sourdough bread, make breadcrumbs!

"I had a failed loaf of sour dough bread and decided to make breadcrumbs recipe. It was so easy to make and now I have a supply to use when needed."

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Cut or tear the sourdough bread

Place the bread on a dry baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the bread cubes are dry, but not browned.

Remove the bread from the baking sheet and place them in a food processor in batches. I was able to process mine in 3 batches.

This method will work for any type of bread.  If you have day old Italian bread, French Bread, ciabatta bread etc., you can use this method. The breadcrumbs can be seasoned as soon as they are processed, or you can leave them plain and season them as you need them for recipes.
