Mix the Wet Ingredients. In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add the eggs, vanilla, and brown sugar to a bowl. Mix well to combine all the ingredients well.
Mix the Dry Ingredients. Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to the banana mixture. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix at this point. It's ok if there are a few lumps.
Add the banana bread batter to the loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour at 375 degrees or until a toothpick is inserted into the bread and comes out clean. Allow the bread to cool before serving.
