Instant Pot  Sausage and Peppers

The perfect dinner on a busy weeknight, let the Instant Pot do the hard work for you in this easy sausage and peppers recipe that the whole family will love!

Set the Instant Pot to saute for four minutes. Place 1 tablespoon of olive oil into the bottom of the Instant Pot. Add the sausage links to the bottom of the pot. Brown the sausage for two minutes on each side.

Wash the peppers and remove the stem and core. Cut them into strips. Set that aside.  Add to the Instant Pot.

Remove the peel from the onion. Cut the onion into strips.  Add to the Instant Pot.

Cancel the saute function. Add the diced tomatoes and their juice, and the Italian seasoning to the Instant Pot. Stir well.

Close the lid of the Instant Pot and make sure the knob on the lid is set to the sealing position. Set the Instant Pot to high pressure and the cook time to 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, quick release any leftover pressure.  Remove the lid and serve the sausage and peppers immediately.
