Homemade Strawberry Waffles

Full of nutmeg and eggnog, these Eggnog waffles are the perfect breakfast to serve on Christmas morning or throughout the holiday season!

Mix together the dry ingredients in a medium bowl.  Set that aside.

Mash the strawberries in a small bowl and set that aside.  Use fresh strawberries or frozen strawberries that are thawed.

In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, whole milk, sugar, and large eggs. Mix well to combine.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.  It's ok if there are a few lumps left in the waffle batter.

Fold in the mashed strawberries until all the ingredients are combined.  Preheat your Belgian waffle iron according to the manufacturers directions.

Spray the waffle maker with nonstick cooking spray or spread on melted butter. Scoop batter into the waffle maker. Cook based on your waffle maker instructions.
