Sourdough  Discard Bread

When you are looking for a crusty loaf of sourdough bread but don't want to wait forever, this Sourdough Discard Bread is for you! It's ready in just a few hours and so easy to make!

In a large bowl, add the warm water and active yeast.  Let it sit for 5 minutes.

Add the all purpose flour, sourdough starter discard, and salt.  Mix well. Cover with plastic wrap and let the dough rise for 2 hours.

Turn the bread dough onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a bread ball.

Score the dough with a sharp knife and place it on parchment paper.

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees and bake for 30 minutes covered and then 30 minutes uncovered.  Let the bread cool to room temperature before cutting into it.
