Topped with a walnut streusel topping and full of applesauce and sour cream, this Applesauce Coffee Cake is a perfect Fall dessert.
Mix together the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the filling. Set that aside.
Mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and chopped walnuts for the topping. Set that aside.
Mix together the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and baking powder. Set that aside.
Mix together the sugar, butter, and sour cream. Cream well.
Mix in the eggs.
Add in the applesauce.
Add the dry ingredients to the bowl with the wet ingredients.
Add half the batter to a buttered baking dish.
Sprinkle the cinnamon, sugar, and flour mixture over the batter.
Top with the other half of the batter and then sprinkle the walnut mixture over the batter. Bake for 50-60 minutes.
