Topped with a walnut streusel topping and full of applesauce and sour cream, this Applesauce Coffee Cake is a perfect Fall dessert.
Mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and chopped walnuts for the topping. Set that aside.
Mix together the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and baking powder. Set that aside.
Mix together the sugar, butter, and sour cream. Cream well.
Mix in the eggs.
Add in the applesauce. You can use storebought applesauce or your favorite homemade applesauce.
Add the dry ingredients to the bowl with the wet ingredients.
Add the batter to the baking pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon, sugar, and flour mixture over the batter.
Top with the other half of the batter and then sprinkle the walnut mixture over the batter. Bake for 50-60 minutes.
